Synopsis
Forest Ranger Dudley is too shy to ask Little Red’s mom, the widow Hood, to the Forest Ranger Ball. For that reason he leaves a written invitation in a basket of flowers outside Little Red’s house. Unfortunately for Dudley, the basket is delivered to Granny. Granny simply loves men, especially men in uniform. In the resulting confusion Dudley loses his pants, Granny kisses the Wolf, Mom gets impatient and Little Red gets in trouble. In fact, everyone experiences, in one way or another, a very, very unusual day.

An opera for kids!
Over six years, OE has built a portfolio of educational programs that reach a range of students, offering mentorship sessions with our artistic advisor and Grammy-award winning soprano Christine Brewer, masterclasses with Northwestern University professor and President of the National Association for Teachers of Singing (NATS) Karen Brunssen, and an annual opera for kids!
The opera for kids has been presented in a range of formats and has reached over 6,000 kids through school tours, free community performances, and a filmed presentation and virtual field trip offered online. We proudly present this fun and interactive performance at the Edwardsville Public Library.
This event is free for the entire public to enjoy thanks to OE's sponsors and donors.
