2022 GENERAL AUDITION

Opera Edwardsville will hold its second general audition in order to welcome new talent in performance and build relationships with professional singers based in the St. Louis and Metro-East area.

OE regularly welcomes world-class artists to Edwardsville and is proud to feature these artists alongside the immense talent of local artists, a combination that makes OE very special. All OE performances are cast by invitation and this general audition provides the opportunity to know more about artists in the area.

OE is poised and interested to feature the talented singers of the St. Louis and Metro-East region to its growing audience and presence in Edwardsville, Illinois. OE's digital recordings have reached over 80,000 views, with all live in-person events performing to sold out audiences since its inaugural event in 2018.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

Professional singers located in the St. Louis or Metro-East area should apply. Following OE's first general audition in 2021, OE was able to hire and cast five fantastic artists across OE's 2021 performances. We encourage artists to sing regularly in our general auditions so as to keep the relationship growing.

Advanced students are welcome to apply. OE has a vested interest in supporting local arts education and hopes to continue engaging emerging talent from the area's music schools.
